Day 1: Fourvière, Roman Lyon and Vieux Lyon

Use the historic vertical sequence: free basilica and view, Roman theatres and optional Lugdunum museum, then a descent into the old town. End with a verified restaurant in the same area. This is the most walking-intensive day, so do not attach Confluence or the park.
Day 2: Croix-Rousse and the Presqu'île
Explore the silk-worker plateau and slopes, using Metro C or bus for the climb. Continue downhill to Terreaux and central squares. Choose a guided passage tour, silk museum or Fine Arts Museum as the day's substantial interior.
Day 3: Food, Markets and the Rivers
Build the day around a food tour, Les Halles, a market or a long lunch, then use public riverbanks, a sightseeing cruise or the separate Navigône transport service. The €3 Navigône ride is not the same product as a narrated sightseeing cruise and is excluded from standard City Card transport coverage.
Day 4: Park and Confluence
Use a morning in Parc de la Tête d'Or for gardens, free zoo areas when open and a lower-intensity walk. Continue to Confluence for architecture and the museum, or keep the whole day slow. The park, botanical collections and zoo have different opening schedules.
Day 5: One Regional Choice
Choose Pérouges, Vienne or Beaujolais according to access and interest. Pérouges has year-round free village access but requires travel onward from Meximieux-Pérouges station; Vienne is the simpler rail-based Roman-history option; Beaujolais is easiest with a planned driver, tour or carefully researched local transport. Keep a Lyon fallback for disruption or poor weather.
