Begin at Marché des Capucins when its current schedule suits the day, then orient at the basilica and reopened spire. Walk north through the district toward Grosse Cloche. This start gives medieval Bordeaux context before the eighteenth-century waterfront.
Grosse Cloche to Pey-Berland
View Grosse Cloche from Rue Saint-James and continue toward Musée d'Aquitaine and Saint-André Cathedral. The interior bell visit is a separate 30-minute French guided booking. Add Pey-Berland only with a timed ticket and the ability to climb 231 steps.
Pey-Berland to Saint-Pierre
